Daily Bible Verses - For TINA - October 2011

Praise The Lord.

Everyone believes that God speaks to us through Bible verses and I think it's true. God reveal secrets, truths, sharing in many ways and I think the most common one is through Bible verses. Lord's words (Bible Verse) has mighty power to heal us from any pain. God talked to me in a way as well. I've been going through a lot recently in my life and God is pampering, guiding, talking to me in many ways and His words are my medicine all the time. I would like to share the same words with my friends as well. Here you are :-

Oct 1
Happy are those who do right, who do what is fair at all times.

Oct 2
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Oct 3
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Oct 4
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Oct 5
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Oct 6
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Oct 7
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

Oct 8
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Oct 9
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Oct 10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Oct 11
For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Oct 12
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Oct 13
For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.

Oct 14
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Oct 15
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Oct 16
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You.

Oct 17
Freely you have received, freely give.

Oct 18
Gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Oct 19
Bear with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you.

Oct 20
Even lions may get weak and hungry, but those who look to the Lord will have every good thing.

Oct 21
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Oct 22
God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control.

Oct 23
God does not see the same way people see. People look at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Oct 24
God is our protection and our strength. He always helps in times of trouble.

Oct 25
God is the Father who is full of mercy and all comfort. He comforts us every time we have trouble, so when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us.

Oct 26
God makes people right with himself through their faith in Jesus Christ. This is true for all who believe in Christ, because all people are the same.

Oct 27
God, your love is so precious! You protect people in the shadow of your wings.

Oct 28
Good people leave their wealth to their grandchildren, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for good people.

Oct 29
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Oct 30
Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

Oct 31
Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the Lord understand all.

All The Glory To Lord Jesus!

FACEBOOK.... BYEBYE!

I heard my friend was talking about "THE CLOSURE OF FACEBOOK", the world's most visited site and owned the highest number of members. It is sad but at the same time, feel relief too. I feel like myself addicted to the social network too much. I read the news on World News Website. "Mark Zuckerberg is giving up Facebook. Why? The reason is simple : Hard to maintain the most visited social network."

Nothing like that happened. It's been months since the announcement was made but still many are dating with FB until now and I'm pretty sure the users are increasing as well ....
When I decide to deactivate my Facebook account, unfortunately, my friends were not really happy with about it, They are active in the particular social network and that's the only way for me to contact them. I came to conclusion, where I will an invisible user.

C.H.A.N.G.E H.U.M.A.N C.H.A.N.G.E

What is optimistic thought? Positive thinking is a discipline that trains the human mind to change a perceived reality by repeatedly making positive mental statements. But, how many people are upholding it? 70%? 60%? Or at least 40%? I met a guy recently and we were discussing about organising a programme in our church. When we were planning the programme, I heard this most of the time : 'No..No..we can't do it here'.. 'No..no... people here will never accept it'....' No...no... we can't do it here. We are christians and should be holy all the time'... 'No..no.. how about our culture? It gives a bad impression on our people'. The planning process really irritated me and finally we ended it without proper planning.

Sometimes, we should allow ourself to think out of box and should give chance to people arround us to see the world with positive mind  Changes is important and that's called improvement. There's no point of living in this world without improvement.... and ' You will never experience the improvement without changes'.

There are people who make use of holy verses to support their deed, good nor bad. It's a SIN! Not me, but the holy verse says so. People, who refuse to change, they are ignoring improvement, better life and NEW in life.
Change Human Change to live a better life!

13th June 2004, I joined University of Malaya to further my Bachelor Degree in Languages and Linguistics. I was so scared and worried since it's a new place to go and I'm gonna be there for 3-4 years without my parents. New place, people and lifestyle! My parents sent me to 9th College (Kolej Kediaman Ke-9) and went back home in the afternoon. I still remember that moment, where I was crying until my friend Sri Devi start her conversation with me. It was so nice of her for being there with me.

Suba and Gaya ( Gen2 )
On the 3rd day of orientation, FBL (Fakulti Bahasa dan Linguistik) students were requested to gathered in hall. That's when I become close to Sakila Govin, introduced to me by Thanaletchumy Kalianan in the morning during our breakfast. From that day, we become close friend.

On Sakila's 22nd year
 birthday

I started to join Gayathrie and Geetha during our Indian's 'get to know session' (orientation), where normally four of us (Gaya, Geetha, Saki and myself) will be oriented togather. It was a good experience for all of us, especially when it comes to judge someone's character through the way they bring themself. Teneach and Ravi played protector or to say more specifically, it's taking care role. They were there for us most of the time.

Shuba Salvam

Shuba Salvam was our 'super-duper' senior at that point of time. She was on her 1st year of Masters studies. She did oriented us but at the same time, she protected us. She is a 'Big Sister' for us until today. It was great to know her. Not forgotten, Subashini, our another dearest senior, who guided us and was there for us when we are in trouble. She is married now. Missing her so much!

I have something to bitter to share here as well when I introduced all my friends. Gayatri Vijayan was one of our closest friend in the beginning but she left due to some disagreement. Still, we wished and prayed her the best and blessings.

This is how we get close to each other and our friendship grow stronger day by day and year by year. We had great fun togather and encouraged and supported each other. The best thing about our relationship is, we never look down at anyone and expect too much from one another. It's always, accept someone as they are. That's called 'friendship' anyways. We had fight, arguements, misunderstanding and in all these we still move further with love and care.

Saki, Suba and Gaya ( Gen2)
Gayathrie ( nickname : Gen2 Kaur ) and myself shares same character. Our chemistry works well and most of the time  our way of thinking will be the same. When it comes to Sakila, her attitude and way of thinking is alike.
Geetha and Teneash fall for each other and started to be in relationship since 7th September 2004. We have a couple among our friends. They look cute and playful. Now they are married legally and their traditional wedding will take place on May 2011. All the best, guys!
Ravi de boss is a teacher now. Unbelievable man! He is really a teacher. Geetha and Ravi in a same profession now and also Jyo ( Shuba ) but she is a level upper, lecturer. Sakila is a Public Relation officer, Teneash in an insurance firm and myself and Gayathrie in Media. By God's grace, we all finished our degree and doing well in our life and building our career successfully. It's all because of the love and knowledge that we shared and the prayer we hold for each other.
Ya me despido!

“And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"
(Deut. 10:12-13).

TMC Bukit Rotan

MYF (Methodist youth fellowship) is a word, which will bring smile on my face. It's for Jesus and because of Jesus, why I'm here in this world having all the fun and excitement with my loved ones.

I started attending MYF when I was 9 year-old with my brothers. In the beginning I did not enjoyed it much since the the members were much more older than myself and the programmes were all about and for youths. But, I enjoyed being part of the programmes, where I learned to play music instruments. Till then, I didn't know my interest on music. God helped me to know my ministry path through it. It was God the one who guided me.

I learned to accept people as they are. Most of the time, acceptance will be the hindrance for us to make friends; people expect too much from their friends. They want to have friend from same religion, race, look, appearance or even some expect their friends to have same taste and choice of lifstyle  as they do. It will never bring you anywhere and people especially youths lost trust on friendship or relationship when this happened. What does Bible says about it?

“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7b)

So, we, people of God, who follow him should share the same character. We should learn to accept people as they are, join them worship God and guide each other to grow in Jesus. I've learned these from my youth fellowship.
